LYC: I've decided to stay at my current job. There were just too many financial risks going to the other job.

The other job was contract, less money, no paid vacations, but was definitely less stress and a different opportunity.
My current job I have 3 pretty long vacations coming up (Bacon's cruise in Nov is 10 days, 7 days in July for a family reunion, and 3 in August for another family event) which will all be paid for, plus benefits, plus more money.
Hopefully, it all works out. And if it doesn't, I get paid almost 40% more for a few months.
(Thanks for letting me vent - I was *seriously* stressing on Friday. I also don't mean this to be a Capstern lookatme post. I certainly did not expect this outcome at all.)

Cool! So how'd the boss react to your decision and do other co-workers know? -- nm

Sounds like a good decision, and there was nothing LAM about it. -- nm

I can certainly appreciate the less stress option, but if the numbers don't work out, you probably made the right call. -- nm
