Quinto is superb as Spock; Pine is solid in his role, John Cho made the best of his limited time...

Cumberbatch was ... interesting in that he played the menacing super-human well but he came close to over-acting ... course, in Trek world...that's okay and hell, encouraged.

Alice Eve existed as a plot device; not a character. She was the weakest link by a mile.
