They're not breaking the law in every case. If you're arrested they take your DNA. People get arrested for things they didn't do all the time.

I agree completely. I'm against taking their DNA at any point but even moreso when it's not someone who's been convicted.

It's great that they were able to use it to solve that crime but I still have an issue with how they obtained the DNA.
