bettas in bowls with straight sides (like, they don't curve in) will jump out if the bowls are filled too high. I have no idea why.

I've lost four. I'm pretty super careful about filling; I must have *just* overfilled.
Responses:
Petsmart has a 2 week warranty....I think bettas have to come to surface for air and can get jumpy -- nm
