We had to take poor Andrew to the hospital last night.

He's home now, we were only there about 3 1/2 hours. His sickness was starting to get worse last evening- breathing very fast (over 60 bpm) and was wheezing some so we took him in. Fortunately the pediatric ER is WAY faster and better-managed than the adult side (this is the ER that my wife nursed at until about 3 months ago).
He didn't have croup, which is what we had thought. But they ended up giving him two nebulizer treatments. The first he screamed so loud the whole time he sounded like a completely different person - it was almost like an adult screaming. Though he got used to it by the middle of the second one a couple hours later, I guess realizing that it was making him feel better. They gave us one to take home and we did it before my wife left for work and he literally didn't put up a fight this time, and actually laid there the whole time enjoying it.
They also tested him for some virus which the doctor thought he had, but he didn't. It's basically just a bad cold. Also gave him some steroid, which he had to take orally and was apparently yucky.
We didn't get home and have him in bed until like 11:45 but he fortunately slept well and is very happy so far this morning (though he didn't want breakfast). The only bad part is when I have to steal his boogers (that's what we call it when we wipe his nose, which he hates).
Right now he's doing laps around the kitchen with his push walker.

Logan hated the nebulizer. So much, they only did it once.
