"perv" (what they actually said was way worse).
One of my tenants was so into the concept of a house for fighters, he created a website to bring in more tenants. I wasnt going to share the website on ST, but people wanted me to, so I did. Somebody used the phone number he listed on the page and contacted him. This really freaked him out. He took apart all the vents and light fixtures looking for cameras, and when the other tenants told him he was nuts to be so paranoid, he figured they were in on it. This led to the other tenants getting sick of his paranoid behavior, so they wanted him out. He couldnt afford another place so he is now living under a tarp at Lake Mead. Its hard to keep a job as a club promoter when you are homeless, so hes unemployed now. He also cant get his meds for being bi-polar, so hes much more unstable now.
I met with him last week on my trip and finally figured out where the warning came from. I wanted to believe that nobody from ST would do something like that, but based on some responses from certain people over the years, I guess I shouldnt be surprised. If you were trying to help him, you failed. He lost the only person who was looking out for him. If you were trying to hurt me, you failed. I had a new tenant moved in the day after he moved out. Its really sad. He was a good kid, and hes already losing a lot of his humanity. Its going to be very hard for him to recover from this. I brought him some canned food and a camping stove last week, but he didnt want to accept anything from me.
Unlike some people on ST, I dont post hateful or hurtful remarks and I try to be helpful. I have gotten STers into popular clubs in Vegas, played tour guide when they visited there or Cali, and talked some of you through the ins and outs of buying a rental property. ST only works if people respect peoples privacy and dignity. Be careful about ranting about your boss, coworker or significant other, because somebody from ST might contact them.
I enjoyed the pop culture tips and sounding board aspects of ST, but I cannot get past this betrayal. So this is goodbye.

It's a pretty shitty STer who would do this and I hope they get a fatal case of crotch rot. -- nm

most importantly, I think we all wish for the former tenant to be able to pick himself up and get back on track. can we do a collection for him? -- nm
