Also, this is probably a reaction to the high price of corn last year.\

For a while, I was optimistic that ethenol would drive the price of corn so high that we'd actually start switching products to sugar, instead. But the price of corn has crashed, so no such luck. Maybe we'll stop subsidizing corn, at least, and slapping tariffs on sugar imports.
