I disagree about very expensive, but agree about availability.

It's about the same for a bottle of it as it is for a bottle of anything else. The cases of cans are a bit more, I think. I've seen things that cost more, enough that they are what I'd call very expensive.
The lack of a 2-liter probably doesn't help with cost or availability.
