$75M of WWZ's budget was from last-minute re-shoots to fix the movie, and has had a lot of high profile news about what a mess it was going to be.

People were expecting it to be the bomb of the summer, so in those circumstances a $60M+ opening is a huge success (and a franchise starter if they can stick to a $120M budget for the next one)
Superman suffered from high expectations among some - and having Nolan on board brought Batman Begins style expectations. Instead, it opened big but is disappearing like any other superhero sequel
