He was a little freaked out because I "barked" at them to get upstairs when it was happening (and they actually listened!) I talked to them for a few minutes before heading up to the hospital (and I still beat the ambulance here), and they were concerned, but not freaking out or anything. Still probably a bit beyond their comprehension, they just know that mommy got sick and had to go to the hospital.
