So, we had to buy a new refrigerator Saturday evening.

Sometime Saturday afternoon some error code came on the front panel of the fridge. Wife looked it up and it meant that the fan was dying. Being that the fridge was already 7 1/2 years old (sad that is "not bad" for a major appliance these days) and we were never real fond of it anyway, we made the decision to start looking for a new one.
So a couple hours of research later and we headed to Lowe's after dinner with five possibilities in mind. We settled on one and it is scheduled to be delivered later this morning.
After we got home from Lowe's wife though the ice cream in the freezer was a bit softer than normal.
Well, two hours later the entire freezer side was burning hot. It was already dead! Good thing we ordered a new one already. We pulled the fridge out and unplugged it.
Wife ran to the store to get some ice, so hopefully some stuff in a pair of coolers will be saved. But we had no cool drinks (other than water) and had to eat out for each meal yesterday. Looking forward to the new one though, just wasn't expecting a major purchase so soon!
