re: Branson's grief being pushed aside for Mary's - I doubt that. Sybil gave birth/died in July 1920 (according to the Wikipedia episode guide) and Matthew's death was September 1921. So he'd been grieving already for over a year when Matthew died.

I think I remember reading that Season 4 will begin 6 months or so after Matthew's death, so I'm thinking Mary will be over the initial grieving stage herself. She's going to have a suitor from what I read, so... That also means we'll be seeing Branson nearly 2 years after Sybil's death.
