I'm not sure if I've found the solution, but thank you for helping me.
It can't be the router/modem. My 3DS and the tablets are unaffected.
It can't be dhcp or dns since everything else is working correctly.
So I rethought the problem. It's affecting two computers. What's the common link between those two computers?
Both mom and I use swagbucks. I bet a simple misclick or even a malicious vagrant getting through in an offer for swagbucks ended up gaining us malware.
What else is common between those two computers?
Both mom and I use Microsoft Security Essentials.
Changing that up, and running Avast scans, I've removed two malicious files. Mom's currently only seen one. So we'll see if that is the problem.
