Not true...I was pretty heavy for a few years after I shattered my ankle.

I was around 230 or so and didn't get the weight off for a while. My weight gain was because I ate a lot of crappy foods while I couldn't move much. I went from 170 to 230 in a very short time.
I decided to lose it all one summer, so I would wake up early and go play basketball and handball until the sun went down.
I went from 210 to 165 by Halloween. I've never gained any of the weight back since.
I was never overweight until the injury.
