Didn't read the blog, but at least I get that interpretation.

I do accept that according to Christianity that homosexual intercourse is a sin (of course so is sexual intercourse outside of marriage). I also believe that homosexuality is at least largely inborn, so by Christianity standards, it's how God made you. The argument would be that God presents you with many temptations and if you want to be a good Christian, it is your duty to try to resist those temptations, whether it be stealing, taking the Lord's name in vain, or homosexual intercourse. People are not perfect so if you do commit a sin, God will forgive you if you truly repent in your heart, but as a gay person you should try to resist the temptation to act on it. It's simply the challenge that God has presented you.
It's not something I believe personally, but it's at least an interpretation I can understand. Of course, it also has nothing to do with gay marriage or gay rights in a legal sense due to the separation of church and state.
