League proposals (yes, this is the same league I posted about last year):
1) Decrease active roster; currently at 17 (required to draft 2 defenses), and establish a practice squad. Players can be designated for the practice squad each week. Players on the practice squad can be picked up as free agents by other teams during normal transactions.
2) Divisional match-ups. There are two divisions in the league, and we play 13 games, one game against each team in the league; this "dilutes" the importance of divisional games as we only play each team in our division once. The proposed rule change would add "double-header" games during weeks 2-7, whereby we would play both a divisional match-up and a non-divisional match-up, creating a 19 game season.
It's like they took the off-season to think up ways to make things more difficult. And yet, the dumbest rules of all, being required to draft two defenses, and home teams getting an automatic +2 points, didn't get put up for a vote (and I blame myself for that too as I simply forgot about the rules proposal period this year...).
