Monsters University spoilers

I thought it dragged until Mike and Sully wound up in OK. The Scare Games were fun. I ran to the bathroom during the summer camp scene so I missed the reason for the expulsion (although I read a spoiler so I have a general idea what happened). I found it telling that I was in a (smaller) packed theater, yet there wasn't much laughter from the kids. One of the few scenes that got a laugh from the adults was watching Mike walk into the final exam - there was a monster with 3 or 4 arms, each one holding a cup of coffee. The monster was drinking them as quickly as he could before rushing into the building. There were a lot of knowing laughs from the adults at that one.

The first movie is one of my all time favorites, so maybe my expectations were too high with this one. My expectations are always really high with Pixar. (Oh yeah, the Planes trailer had NO reaction from the kids. The girl sitting next to me sighed, "ugh, Cars 3" when it started. Heh.
