Wild Water Kingdom Weekend report for Andie and any other interested Toronto people....
|
Good: Its lots of fun, there's lots of activities and you are unlikely to get bored during a day trip. There is a large picnic/green space area just outside the waterpark where lots of people eat lunch they bring with them. Facilities seemed to be clean and the park maintained in the sections we were in.
Bad: They charge you for everything ($10 for parking, $37 for admission to the park, $5 fee plus a $5 deposit for lockers, food is over priced for the most part. They even charge for some of the better watertubes in the lazy river and waterslides. Lifeguards seemed to be anal about anything that was a breach of rules. They will wait until people are completly down any waterslide and out of the pools at the bottom before letting the next person go at the top which significantly adds to wait time.
Not Sure: It was a cooler day on Sunday after 4 pm when we went, so it was not overly busy but there were lineups for most of the waterslides. Line-ups might be really long on hot days in the summer.
Overall. We were there for only a few hours and we had special discounted passes through my work. Its definetly something you want to be there for a full day to get your full value out of it. Its going to cost $50-$60 per person on average if you take advantage of everything. But it was lots of fun and a great way to spend time on a hot summer day.
Let me know if you want more details.
