I met the woman who invented it (orginally disposable paper) who got tired of the long waits at the san fran opera house and other antique facilities

built in times before women were allowed to enter, so they have pitiful few bathroom stalls. so they just started invading the men's. the off center funnel was so they didn't have to actually sit on the seat, not that the opera house would be as filthy as the ball park but don't forget they were wearing full length ball gowns so they were handy to use even in the women's stalls
