For me, we live in the information age, you have the freedom to chase information of your own accord, but higher education costs money to fund...if you're going to lean on the public for that funding, you should be pushing toward giving back to society either with your education's payment, or with your own money going in.
Or look on the internet and find a gajillion pieces of learning. It's a lot better than being buried under the weight of useless degrees and need further societal aids beucase you wanted a degree.
