I agree with the first part of this, though maybe not the second.

Morsi did do things while in power - such as stack the panel that would write the new constitution with cronies - that would undermine democracy and consolidate his party's power.
But the army took control in February 2011 and took a long, long time to hand over to civilians. It was only mass protests that ended military rule and established a civilian government. I wouldn't assume good motives by any means.
