There would need to average about 4.5 no-hitters a season for him to break even.

given there's been 237 since 1901, we're only averaging about 2 per season.

Assuming he's done this every day for 180 days (1 season), he's wagered $72,000 a year, and won $32,000 in that time frame (on average).

$40k loss by the numbers.
