We ate at (this is the absolute truth) Good Wood. The menu is like any bbq joint back east, but here people think pulled pork is some kind of gourmet

delicacy, it's so funny to me to go eat bbq in a nice place along the lines of Outback or TGI Fridays. So I had a pulled pork plate with 2 sides--potato salad and cole slaw. He had a smoked beef burger topped with smoked/grilled sausage, cheddar, spicy-sassy bbq sauce and potato salad. I got the pulled pork plate dinner so I'd have leftovers for dinner tonight, but I'm still absolutely stuffed and doubt I'll eat any more tonight. OH! We started off with a small order of nachos and shared it. I'm glad we ordered a small, it was freaking huge. I swear, they were the best nachos I've ever had. For years, I didn't think anyone would do nachos better than The Ram, but Good Wood wiped them out. Instead of greasy ground beef or dried out shredded beef they used smoked brisket cut into little pieces that almost melted in your mouth. Also, instead of the usual montery jack cheese, they used real queso fresca creme fresca. The pico d'gallo was super fresh and had a really good taste to it inspite of all the cilantro (I'm one of those supertasters that hates cilantro because it tastes like bitter wax). Anyway, the plate was really big enough for 3-4 people to eat off it. I can't imagine how big a "large" would be. Anyway, if you get a tasting for "real" smoked bbq, I totally recommend this place, it's a chain restaurant.
