The experts are saying the approach angle would indicate the pilots were having a power problem.

reports here now that rescue crews were ready and waiting for the flight, so it wasn't a surprise.

Ah, wondered about that. Couldn't believe the pilot wouldn't have reported that kind of problem. Also would account for a more efficient evacuation. -- nm
