I've been debating telling you all this but there was an understory to the Slash show last night...

I went with my old college roommate. He's a decent guy but never learns. I mean he dates the most damaged woman imaginable. He's done this since we were pretending to take classes. He's still doing it.

A fresh Ex was at the show...with her legitimately frightening boyfriend. He has Manson Lamps. I'd be very comfortable if he was locked up on trumped up charges or defended by ML.

There was almost a brawl at the smoking section. It took some nonchalant Mel-tervention ("Oh hey...who are you? I'm Mel. Nice to meet you *doe eyes*) to avoid a major incident.

I'm 42 and can say that I never want to be in a bar brawl again. I couldn't always say this but I can now. All I wanted to do was get home to Diva with all my teeth.

Thankfully, my friend was mostly on board with that plan. I still like the lunkhead alot but I wish he'd learn not to race towards the train lights coming out of the tunnels.
