current visa for Brazil situation

By error of my not reading everything closely, I sent my passport & other required stuff to the DC not LA Brazilian embassy yesterday for the entry visa. I am awaiting to see if they will still process it, despite their website stating no. I have called & emailed them the situation, and have not heard back yet.

If I have to resend it to LA, they are so backed up, I probably will not have it back before the ship sails on 3/13. BUT I can switch my flight to land in Buenos Aires and totally avoid Brazil [it's only 1 day] and having to get any visa's, and still enjoy 90% of the trip.

time will tell
