As much as I enjoyed Skyfall, I really think they missed the boat on the Craig character arc (spoils)

the first two were back to back cases at the start of his career...and suddenly we're to the point where he's the grizzled older agent commiserating with M about the good old days? it's like they left out 15 years of middle ground.
