I've been similar lately re: buying a tablet for my mom, but I do it about even smaller stuff.

not that it's true, full-on anxiety; but I do sometimes think/hesitate/etc. more than is likely warranted.
I know it's silly, to a point, since I can afford the things; but I think it may come from when I had debt years ago, and the upside is that maybe it's why I'm not in debt now when a lot of others are. (...is what I tell myself. ;p)
big purchases are few and far between and more essential, where little and non-essential ones can add-up.
