what did he do...besides being born with bad genetics? nothing - although the MRI shows its " acute" he doesn't recall any specific " thing" he did - he got up with a kink in his neck that never went away and got worse.
his disc is completely blown out - its just gathering where ever it wants in the space - no real form. 6 mm on one side, 7mm on the other - they wanted him to have immediate surgery and he said " absolutely not". heh.
the nerve pain is bad, real bad - but the spinal cord compression makes me worry a great deal. He's got numbness and loss of strength with that - also the nerves cause some of that but not all.
recovery time...well a desk job and you can go back after two weeks with a brace on - manual labor is suppose to be 4 weeks. LOL!!! he's never going to sit still for that long. I'm going to hide car keys.
