My mother was a WAC too, she was an RN and held a Captain's rank. Her 2 favorite bases were some place in Austria and Ft. Sam Houston, TX

She met my father at Ft. Sill, OK. She didn't want to leave the service but then she got pregnant with me and they made her leave. They used to do that back in the day.
