In response to "I told her via text that I needed to talk to her via email. I was notifying her via text that I had something to discuss via email" by the ides of march love mandy lane

I still think an important part of communicating is to convey the scope of consequence. YGMing someone about an issue that's private (yet trivial) is

one thing.

YGMing someone about a potentially life-changing opportunity without somehow describing the possible consequence of failing to cooperate when you KNOW the someone's propensity to shrug off instructions could be seen as a set-up.

Of course, you are also right to worry about your reputation; do you want to point someone with a propensity to shrug off instructions at a lead which will reflect on you?

*shrug* I'd say give her one more communication, with details. You already made the commitment to share this with her.
