I do believe I'm going to buy a Dell Studio Hybrid (a 2008 machine) and set it up as a host server for my home network.

I can attach external hard drives through the Firewire and printers through the USB. Plus, it's Windows, so I don't need any special "apps" in order to install proxy software or bit torrent clients. I can control it all without a monitor, mouse or keyboard, too, because I can just RDP from another machine.
My only regret is that it doesn't have eSATA or USB 3.0. If anyone knows of a similar - or other - "micro form factor" PC with those ports, I'd be indebted to you.
