They're actually "in-season" right now. We can get a 5 lb sack at Walmart for $1.00. Crash has gotten addicted to home made fries.

If you haven't checked out Walmart's fresh produce lately, give it a shot. They carry more organic stuff than Albertsons and Safeway. We got corn on the cob last week for 10 cents/ear. It was supersweet and crunchy. I actually cut some off the cob, mixed in some chopped jalapenos, chopped sweet onion, chopped roma tomatos, and the juice of half a lime to make corn relish. It was incredibly tasty.

corn is 2/$1 around here, I do remember 10 fer till Bush made a deal with the ethenol makers (ADM) but taters are cheaper than it must cost to ship -- nm - zeitgeist Jul 17, 21:31 1
