Oh, I have another produce question. I also bought a purple onion and a walla walla onion. Both have small bulbs (the size of a garlic bulb) with

Shoots that are similar to scallions.

Do I use both the bulb and the scallion part? Just the bulb? I only cook with vidalia onions so I don't ever come across anything other than the bulb part.

Going to use the onions and the ears of corn I have left in a corn chowder (because nothing says "beat the summer heat" like a hot bowl of corn chowder...)
