Is this like a "too soon" for people who just started dating?

A good friend of mine just "suggested" as a friend on Facebook this guy she just started dating. Won't things get awkward if their relationship doesn't work out? If you were that guy, wouldn't her doing that make you nervous?

I met him on Sunday, we all partied and had a blast. He's good people. But, isn't this like a "too soon"? Does she have plans to be dating him for a long time or something?
