The last card you refer to, Lifebane Zombie was awesome out of the board. I almost want to play him maindeck, and some Jund decks did, probably as a meta choice. I played an G/w Elves deck and he got a Craterhoof in game 2 (but I still got Hoofed for a billion) and in game 3 got a Rhox Faithmender that made a big difference.
