Smoltz had better stuff but he's ahead of Wohlers and Rocker.

What's scary about Kimbrel is that if he didn't have the fastball, he could still be a closer because of his curveball. The two pitches in tandem...well, it's cruel.

I expect him to have a Trevor Hoffman type of career. The only reason why I don't say Mariano Rivera is because I believe that is asking too much of a 25-year-old.

The reason why Smoltz was better is because he was a legit ace with four plus pitches whose health forced him to close.
