Hey guys. I have sort of a techie question about FAcebook.

ok. So you all know I'm involved in a fan campaign for a tv show. yadda yadda.
there are a handful of really deranged individuals who are AGAINST this campaign. don't ask.
This weird thing has been happening to me and others. When we are posting on the FB page for this TV show, we get booted off FB. When we try to log back on, there's a screen that says there was suspicious activity, and then we have to verify our identity. it's a pain in the ass.
This has happened to five people that I know of, including me, multiple times. it is ALWAYS while we are in the middle of posting our opinion on that page. I THINK what is happening is someone is trying to hack our facebook accounts. they can't succeed, but the suspicious activity boots us off facebook. In other words it literally makes us shut up.
But what I don't get is, how are they doing it? When you log on to facebook, it asks for your email address or phone number. I do NOT publish those on facebook. how are they doing it? are they stalking that info via google?

Maybe it's just people attempting to log in as you and failing. If they get the password wrong X amount of times, your account/email gets flagged. - con_carne Aug 8, 18:09 3
