If anything, I think I've taken the "enjoy it while it lasts" TOO much to heart.

Every time I hug the Lil' Vermin, I think "eight more years, and she'll be asking you to drop her off down the street so her friends don't see you. 14 more years and she'll be out of the house, probably forever."
That's a good self-reminder, but I think my frequency is a little high.
