if they want to recruit...recruit from a pool of people like me, David, Kim, Roger More...etc. People who spend countless hours every season writing about, critiquing and promoting their dang show.
I would suggest that 99% of the people that write about Survivor think they could go out there and play better than the people they're casting right now.
These are people that have studied the shit out of this game with multiple viewings of almost every episode.
Shit, I started recapping Season 3...I've broken down a lot of game tape in that time. I think a bunch of chucklenuts like us could make for great TV as we all know the game SO well.
