While I dont want to endorse it for everyone, I think their idea of dropping childcare was accurate...

If one parent stays home, there is one car in the house, the house has a reasonable mortgage and the parents dont plan on any vacations or other niceties of life (like eating out, cable and fun activities) I think it is possible the way they describe it. However, very few people myself included would want to live that way. If the Disney household really tried, I think we could work with one of us at home and Princess Disney only costing about $4000. But it requires real sacrifices and a lot of things that most parents are not required to give up for themselves or their kids....my family included.
