I don't think it would work for most people either....it involves too many variables that most people cant control...

It assumes two parent families, both working "normal" jobs, an inexpensive house, no major debts.

That being said, reading the CBC website comments makes it sound like these people have never had to truly sacrifice in their life and they expect all the entitlements that they are not willing to even consider giving up.
