If Davis gets to 62, that probably does it.

Because not only would some voters view it as the clean record, it would be the AL record.
And Davis currently leads him in runs, doubles, extra-base hits, and slugging as well. Miggy has an impressive lead in avg and obp and leads in ops and rbi.
To get to 62, Davis would likely take the leads in ops and rbi. You hit 62 in the AL and lead in at least one other triple crown category, you likely get the MVP.
