While I agree with her, that the internet can suck, I disagree that people don't like her because she's a strong, female character

Just the opposite, she's too wishy washy.
You hate Walter, tell him to fuck off, and walk away (take the kids...keep the, "Walt is a gambler," story, to save face). That would be a strong, female character; that would be Walt's equal (or even killing him).
A strong female character would go toe-to-toe, every episode, and try to unwind and/or sabotage what Walt was doing.
Is that Skylar...nope
