I figured out the shot clock/basketball thing too, right at the start of the ep when there was prominent mention of it. I actually had a "ding" go off in my head. Heck, they didn't even need the shot clock, all they had to do was track one player's movements. Although, having the shot clock did allow McMac to pinpoint exactly where the edits took place.
I thought the editing in this ep was freaking brilliant. I loved the chaotic way the camera would jump from show, to info being read aloud, right into testimony, then the show within the show. The one thing that Sorkin did that really pissed me off was make it kind of difficult to keep up with which time we were in until I realized that orange-haired Maggie indicated present time.
I had 2 LOL moments (the wording might not be exactly right, it's been a few hours and I'm sleepy):
Leona--Shut the fuck up you Daniel Craig wannabe.
Sloan--If we go to prison, I'll do just fine. Why? "Shawshank". I'll do the wardens books and all the guards tax returns. What'll you do, produce their nightly news show?
