They might actually have a shot at something if they approached this from the perspective of "we think these three things need to be changed and here's what they should be changed to (as long as they weren't stupid changes). But taking the "we're going to hold our breaths until you give us what we want" is not likely to get more traction than it got when they tried that on their parents.
