go to an Independent Agent - they will have a choice of companies and in my humble opinion - they do a better job because they work for you - not just

ONE company - so you can stay with them for many years - and take advantage of different companies having good rates and options - but you still have the same agent
They also can advocate on your behalf when you have a claim - and direct writer companies usually cut their captive agents out of the mix when it comes to claims.
again - just my opinion (but I'm biased of course)
