At that point though, if he's turns into the superstar....you're going to be up against everyone else, and likely paying past 32yrs old.

I'm not saying 30mil a year is reasonable, but given baseball finances, I'd lock him up at 12/300m and call it a bargain if he matures like expected.

Trout, I'd pay 12/360mil right now.
