I didn't read much before seeing this - so wasn't prepared for it being mostly about the civil rights history through the decades. I didn't recognize Maria Carey at all ... surprised when I saw her name in the credits. Jane Fonda did a great Nancy Reagan. Vanessa Redgrave, though briefly seen, was solid - no surprise there. Oprah also nailed it - as did Forrest Whitaker. Just great performances and a great story.

Maybe ot's just this week being kind of reflective for me - but I've really lived in a good time in this world of ours - as a child in the 60's - I wouldn't have wanted it any other way I think.

and now ... Since I've realized I can safely have plants again in my home - I'm going to look for some small ones that I can nurture and grow into show pieces. :)
