To rape and kill your field crew, thw way it worked was like how crab fishers got paid, a share of the proceeds. Families would travel from whateever hollow (like theLimehouse efolks) and work their asses off to get the crop in and to the local mills and it wasfan hard hotn andmiserable work but it paid enough for the workers to live over winter.
if the owner was sucha hole ole and the crabandoned th field, he'd be fucked as he couldn't get another crew in time before rains
